The OptiPoint 420 Advance is a modular, multi-line IP speakerphone that provides high fidelity voice quality via the integrated G.722 wideband codec. It includes integrated self-labeling key functionality. It comes with a graphic back-lit alphanumeric 4x24 display and with OptiGuide for additional softkey-like functionality. The device supports full-duplex speakerphone functionality has an integrated mini Ethernet switch, an integrated USB port and an integrated headset port. It also supports CorNet-IP, includes both 10/100Base-T and VLAN support, enables CTI (TAPI) over the LAN and includes 18 function keys with LEDs. The OptiPoint 420 Advance phone is wall mountable.

The Optipoint 420 range of IP phones uses Power over LAN in accordance with IEEE 802.3af and as such is not provided with a mains power supply. An optional Mains power supply is available and is listed as an Add On Option for this phone.
