Telephone Lines Guide

A commonly asked question relating to the purchase of a telephone system is how the phone system enables multiple callers to ring in on the same telephone number.

The answer is simple - The Phone system does not increase the number of simultaneous calls, this is done by adding additional lines from your telephone service provider. These are called auxilary lines and an additional rental is payable to your telephone line provider for each additional telephone line. The Phone system then connects to these multiple lines and allows calls to be efficiently answered and transfered internally within the office.
